Help needed for Sunday School

We are currently looking for extra help in our Sunday School groups.

We have a dedicated group of people that that do a great job of looking after our young people.

However we still have gaps in our rota to help with safeguarding our group leaders, helpers and our young people.

We are not looking for leaders unless you feel that this is something you feel called to do. We just need extra people to ensure we have the full quota of helpers.

We have 3 different groups covering Primary age children to Teens so have different opportunities should you feel called to specific ages.

There will be a Sunday school meeting on Wednesday 15th November at 7.30 in the Oasis.

If you are interested in helping with or leading the children’s groups then please come along to find out more or get in touch with Dot.

Social and Fundraising notice

Our District Church Council (DCC) has begun a system of sub-groups to organise various aspects of our church life. One of these is aimed at social and fundraising events. In the Autumn we had two successful events; a quiz and a karaoke.
It would be good to have further suggestions and more people to help get those ideas underway. If you are interested in helping or making suggestions please let Dot know (07702548161) or come to 211 Marsh Lane on Thursday 27th February at 7.30pm when a programme for the year can be drawn up.

Lent groups

Our Lent groups are a time to learn, reflect and pray together.  This year, they are also an opportunity to help create our “Stations of the Cross” which we are working on as a joint project with Saint Paul’s School. (What are “Stations of the Cross”? – external link to Wikipedia).

If you’ve not signed up to a group yet, don’t worry – you can join any of the groups at any time, even if you’ve missed some weeks (the sessions stand alone).

Monday – 7:30pm at 47 Halesworth Road
Wednesday – 9:30am in the chapel
Wednesday – 7:30pm at the Vicarage
Friday 7:30pm at 11 Talaton Close
