Blakeley Green House

Blakeley Green House has operated as a sheltered and supported housing environment for individuals with severe and enduring mental ill health for the last 40 years. The Trust’s role is focused on the implementation of Christian values ensuring that there is sufficient fund raising to maintain the provision of a Christian chaplain alongside additional activities such as a holidays, outings, a colourful garden, Christmas and birthday presents, Easter eggs and a firework display. The chairman of the trust is Bishop Clive. The trust holds a worship service every Thursday at 7pm in the chapel at the house with a Eucharist service on the last Thursday each month. The pastoral support is provided by the clergy team in the parish ( mainly from Rev Jim Perry from St Pauls). The trust also holds a carol service and a rogation service and some are held in the beautiful grounds of the house by the wooden cross.

The trust appreciates the support for fundraising and events it receives from across the parish. If you would be prepared to undertake a fundraising activity within Holy Cross then please contact Dot Clayton (wolvodot@hotmail.com) . Also if you would wish to become a member of the trust ( for a nominal suggested donation of £5) please contact Ron McTurk (mcturk@btinternet,com)

The rogation service will take place on 8th May at 3pm and there will be a garden party on 16th July 2-4pm. You are warmly welcomed to these events.
