Malt Whiskey Tasting Evening

On Saturday 17 January 7.30pm prompt Linzee Perry will be assisting with a Malt Whisky Tasting to be held in St Peter’s House, 4 Exchange Street right in Wolverhampton city centre.

Tickets are £10 which entitles you to taste 5 different malt whiskies. For ticket enquiries please telephone the Parish Office on 422642. Proceeds will go to the upkeep of St Peter’s Collegiate Church.

The whiskies on offer are

Abelour, Cardhu 12yr old, Laphroaig 10yr old, Benromach Peat Smoke distilled in 2005,
Highland Park 12yr old, Old Pulteney 12 yr old, The Ardmore Legacy, Glenkinchie 12 yr old, The Balvenie 12 yr old signature, and Glendronach 15yr old,

St Paul’s Church Theatre Group If you are interested in going to the theatre, sharing lifts and enjoying a performance together, here are our next few trips:

Tuesday, 20th Jan to Saturday, 24th January 2015 7.30pm plus 2.30 Saturday Perton Civic Centre “Aladdin” Harlequin Pantomime, who rehearse at St Paul’s, starring many members of the Perry family and quite a few other St Paul’s community members. Tickets £5 on Tuesday, £7 all other except Saturday evening £9

Saturday, 31st January 2015 at 2pm at The Lighthouse Cinema, “Mr Turner” Timothy Spall in a film about the great artist £8/£6.50 concessions cert 12A

Wednesday, 11th February 2015 at 7.00pm The Lighthouse RSC “Love’s Labour Lost” Live Shakespeare from Stratford screened to Wolverhampton – a comedy about how a resolution to not associate with the opposite sex for 3 years is tested. £14/£12 concessions.

Tuesday, 24th February 2015 at 7.30pm The Arena Theatre “The Honey Man” Birmingham playwrite and actor Tyrone Higgins in a play about an unlikely relationship between 16yr old girl and the heir to the manor, a fiery, weed-smoking man, a compelling sparkling visually imaginative play £10/£8 conc.

Wednesday, 25th February 2015 1.30pm The Arena Theatre “The Cloth of the World”. Play based on the Mappa Mundi in Hereford Cathedral a spellbinding performance of mystery and adventure featuring puppets and masks. £5 suitable for ages 6+

Saturday 28th February 2015 at 7.30pm The Grand English Touring Theatre “A Mad World” a riotously funny Royal Shakespeare company performance of life in Soho in 1956, glamour and filth mix together, a pursuit of quick cash and a good time. Approx. £20

Tuesday, 3rd March 2015 7.30pm The Arena Theatre “Nursing Lives” A heartwarming war time tale of bravery and love from a theatre company wearing full masks. £10/£8 concessions. Suitable for ages 12+

Wednesday, 4th March 2015 7.00pm The Lighthouse RSC Live “Love’s Labour Won” or “Much Ado About Nothing” a comedy sequel to the earlier story about man’s study of women £14/£12 concessions.

Tuesday, 17th March 2015 at 7.30pm The Arena “Teechers” Blackeyed Theatre company production of John Godber’s classic comedy about life in a modern comprehensive school, fast moving, entertaining with an array of terrifying teachers. £10/£8 concessions

Wednesday, 18th March 2015 at 7.30pm The Grand “One Man Two Guvnors” smash hit National Theatre production now touring, celebration of British comedy, laugh-out-loud mixture of satire, songs, slapstick and one-liners. Cost approx. £20

Friday, 20th March 2015 at 7.30pm The Arena “Secret Diaires” An honest look at the world through teenage eyes. £10/£8

Monday, 23rd March 2015 at 7.00 pm The Lighthouse from Manchester’s Royal Exchange Theatre, a unique performance by Maxine Peake in live screening of “Hamlet” £14/£12
