How long can she last?

Linzee Perry has (bravely) committed to giving up alcohol (communion wine excepted) during Lent.  However, she has freely stated that she is sure to fail.  To help raise funds for the Wolverhampton Food Bank and the Sycamore Tree Project in a local prison, Linzee has challenged us to guess when she will lapse from her abstinence!  At just 50p per go, you can pick a date from the chart at the back of church.  There will be a prize for the winner!

“Hot Potato” Lent lunch

There will be a simple baked potato lunch to raise money for the Bishop’s Lent appeal after church next Sunday (3rd March).  During our lunch, Jim will be discussing a ‘hot potato’ issue!  If you haven’t already signed up, please contact Jim to let him know you’d like to attend (we need to know numbers, so we can cater for everyone).

Lent groups

Our Lent groups are a time to learn, reflect and pray together.  This year, they are also an opportunity to help create our “Stations of the Cross” which we are working on as a joint project with Saint Paul’s School. (What are “Stations of the Cross”? – external link to Wikipedia).

If you’ve not signed up to a group yet, don’t worry – you can join any of the groups at any time, even if you’ve missed some weeks (the sessions stand alone).

Monday – 7:30pm at 47 Halesworth Road
Wednesday – 9:30am in the chapel
Wednesday – 7:30pm at the Vicarage
Friday 7:30pm at 11 Talaton Close

A few tickets still remaining

Amazingly, there are still a few tickets left for Cinderella, which starts this Thursday (21st Feb).  Please do think about using this fun event as a way to invite friends and family to come to Saint Paul’s.

And if you haven’t bought a ticket for yourself… what are you doing?!!!

Oh yes they are!

It’s now less than a fortnight until the church pantomime!  “Cinderella” looks set to be another great show.  If you haven’t got your tickets yet, what are you waiting for?!
Don’t forget, this is a great opportunity to introduce your friends and family to Saint Paul’s.  It’s suitable for all ages.  Cinders, Buttons and the fairy godmother are waiting for you, along with the cast of a couple of TV shows(?!?!)

To buy your tickets, speak to Jenny Cresswell at church or phone (716554).
