Led by Jim Perry and Liz Rathbone.

Saturday 24th March, 10am-3pm @ Church Cottage

Bring a packed lunch – drinks available.

Intended for adults and older children, the day is inspired by an activity the ‘Encounter’ group will enjoy the following Saturday.

Maundy Thursday Agapé Eucharist

On the night before he died, Jesus had supper with his friends…

Jesus washed his disciples feet – a sign of loving service and an example he taught his disciples to follow.

Jesus celebrated the Passover – As part of the service we share a simple form of the passover meal.

“This is my body, this is my blood” – In obedience to him we share Communion together.

“Watch and Pray” – All decoration is stripped from the church, leaving it in darkness. Anyone who wishes to is invited to keep watch with silence, prayer and readings.

THURSDAY 5th APRIL 2012, 7pm at ST PAUL’S
Suitable for adults and children, the service will last no more than 2 hours. You do not need to stay for the Watch if you do not wish to do so.

PLEASE SIGN UP AT THE BACK OF CHURCH

A collection will be taken as a contribution to the cost of the food.

Alternative Lent Course – “Journeying Together on a Pathway to Faith”

How often were Jesus and his disciples journeying on foot?
What conversations did they have?  What teaching did the disciples receive?

Based around our sister church, Christ the King, Aldersley, this alternative Lent course is offering the chance to walk together, probably twice during the month of March, using the local parks and towpaths. There may be some sharing of food as the disciples would have done, too.

Together, we can consider the sayings of Jesus that have influenced our lives.  From these sayings, we’ll create a “Pathway to Faith” that we can display in or outside of our churches during Holy Week.

If you are interested, and to be kept in touch please contact Keith Whitehouse on 01902 831135 or email khwhitehouse(at)hotmail.com.

Starts Sunday 4th March,  2:30pm at Christ the King, with a circular walk stopping at all three churches of the parish.  Using pathways and along the canal the trial run took 1 ¾ hours.  Be prepared for possibly muddy or wet conditions

Sunday 11th March – in Church at Christ the King

Sunday 18th March – a walk

Sunday 25th March – in Church at Christ the King

All are welcome.
