Healing Ministry Training Day

There will be a Healing Ministry training day at St Mary’s Church, Bushbury on Saturday 24th March, from 9am-4pm.

The guest speaker is Revd Gareth Davies, the Bishop of Lichfield’s advisor on healing ministry.  Gareth says; “over several years of offering training events for parishes and deaneries we have witnessed many folk healed, blessed and equipped to run with this ministry in their local situations.”

The aim of this training is to encourage and equip Christians to see that the healing ministry is an integral part of the Church’s ministry, in both pastoral and evangelistic opportunities.

The main programme will include a particular focus upon the following areas of ministry:

  • Suffering and why folk are and aren’t healed
  • The nature of physical healing, inner healing and the renewal of the mind; as well as healing relationships and forgiveness
  • How to build a prayer ministry team, including prayer model, spiritual values and guidelines
    Listening to God
  • In essence the “Theology of Why” and the  “Practicalities of How” people are healed.

If you are interested and would like more information or would like to sign up to attend, please get in contact with Revd Richard Merrick (curate at St Mary’s, Bushbury) on revrichstmarys@gmail.com
