Meetings this week

PCC meets at Saint Paul’s this Tuesday (22nd November), 7:30pm.

The Worship & Ministry team meet at the vicarage on Thursday (24th November), 7:30pm.

The PCC (Parochial Church Council) is the official body which is responsible for the running of the Parish. It has legal and financial responsibilities laid down by the Church of England.  The council is made up of clergy, some Readers, and churchwardens, plus elected members from all three churches in the parish.

Saint Paul’s Worship & Ministry team is a committee which reports to the DCC (District Church Council).  It is made up of our vicar (Jim), our Readers and Prayer Guide, other preachers and leaders, representatives of our Sunday School leaders, and one of our churchwardens.  The team’s role is not always easy to define clearly, but it inolves planning and co-ordinating our worship, plus thinking about all elements of ministry that our church is involved in (such as pastoral care, youth education, links with local schools, adult education and community links).

Good explanations. I always wondered what we were doing! (Only joking!)
