Des, our resident librarian, says:
“Our Library is growing and a number of people are contributing. I would like to think that it will eventually emulate the library they have at St. Judes. We have set the seed and I hope we will see it develop.
“It seems to me that people are more inclined to contribute their books under the understanding that if they ever need to they can take them back. I know the importance of books and it can be an emotional strain to give away an old friend that you love. But I hope that people will regard the opportunity of letting others enjoy what you have had, a good enough reason to send your old friend out into the Church family.
“I’ve heard good things about Catherine Marshall’s ‘Adventures in Prayer’. Could I ask if anyone has it if they would like to loan it to us?”
If you have any books you can lend to our new church library, please do speak with Des. Equally, if you’re interested in borrowing, the library is located in the entrance foyer and Des will be delighted to help you out.
