Church Library

Des Halestrap is to become our resident librarian!  He is setting up a library of Christian books for us to share at Saint Paul’s.
If you have any books that you are happy to lend to the church, please let Des know.  Any books that might inspire, uplift or encourage others would be great.

Watch this space for news of when the library is up and running!

Understanding the Big Picture: from Genesis to Revelation

In 2010, at New Wine (a Christian festival), Rich Cresswell attended a seminar entitled “Understanding the Big Picture: From Genesis to Revelation in 60 minutes”.  Rich felt it was almost perfect for Saint Paul’s and, with permission from the speaker, adapted it slightly for use at our church weekend away last month.

However, we wanted the opportunity for more people to hear the story and so Rich is repeating his talk after the service on Sunday 10th July.

This session does exactly what it says on the tin – it’s a whistlestop tour through the story of the Bible.  Come along and see how much you already know.  Find out how Noah fits with Paul and who on earth Othniel was.  You may never look the same way at a tent peg again!

There will be time to grab a coffee or tea before the session starts.  Why not push back your Sunday lunch for an extra hour and join us?

Warning:  The talk refers to violence and scenes of an adult nature (but it IS all in the Bible).  Children under secondary school age are advised to attend with their parents.
