Holy Week and Easter

A quick guide to what’s on at Saint Paul’s (and around the parish) over the coming week, starting Sunday  (service is at Saint Paul’s unless listed otherwise)…

Palm Sunday, 17th April
• 10:30am Eucharist, including the passion reading (we hear the events of Holy Week as written in the gospel)

Monday 18th April
• 7:30pm Eucharist at Saint Michael’s.  Prayer for healing and confession will be available at this service.

Tuesday 19th April 
• 7:30pm Eucharist at Christ the King.  Prayer for healing and confession will be available at this service.

Wednesday 20th April 
• 7:30pm Service of wholeness and healing.  This service includes communion and the opportunity to receive prayer with laying on of hands.

Maundy Thursday, 21st April
• 11:00am Eucharist at Lichfield Cathedral.  Baptism vows are renewed.  Clergy and lay ministers also renew their vows.
• 7:00pm Agapé Eucharist, remembering the Last Supper.  This service includes a meal.  If you would like to attend, it would be helpful if you could inform Jim in advance, please.

Good Friday, 22nd April
• 2:00pm Hour by the Cross.  We remember together the final hours of Jesus’ life.

Easter Saturday, 23rd April
• 8:30pm Parish Easter Vigil at Saint Michael’s.  A joyful service, including communion and renewal of our baptism vows.

Easter Day, 24th April
• 10:30am Celebration Eucharist (followed by an Easter egg hunt for the members of Sunday School!)

    There is a service at 12noon at The Cross in Blakeley Green Houses garden led by Rev. Liz Rathbone with hot cross buns and tea and coffee in the main house afterwards before processing back to Christ The King Church for their afternoon service
